Hair - Ojon


The Ojon line is one of my favorites. It's not cheap but my hair always feels healthy when I use their shampoos, conditioners, and products. I have to admit that I don't take the time to use the treatment (the signature item of Ojon) as often as I should, it's time consuming and frankly messy, but when I do I definitely see a major improvement in my hair. With that said, the treatment lasts forever and I have yet to buy a new one.

I think it's best to mix up your shampoo and conditioner. Using the same product over a long period of time will result in buildup and dullnes. Mixing the brands up keeps your hair guessing so to speak.

With that said, Ojon is one of the best hair care lines I've ever used. I always keep it in rotation.

Ojon Hydrating Styling Cream 4.2 fl oz (125 ml)

So recently I dealt with a difficult loss. I was in pretty bad shape and after a week or so found myself looking at a truly messed up stranger in the mirror. Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence; Essence-Like, Oil-Like

My dearest husband surprised me for my birthday last year by going to a beauty store in Korea Town, Los Angeles to buy me skin care. He says he finally figured it out. Skincare for me is like records and CDs are to him. I feel seen. Thanks to the advice of some clearly knowledgeable sales clerks in Korea Town, he got me some truly delightful products. But for me to blog about a product I have to be madly in love. For the record I am currently out of my Huxley Oil Essence and it is frankly affecting my self esteem. This is not an exaggeration. To Good Genes or not to Good Genes. That is the Question.

There is a lot of buzz out there for the cult favorite GOOD GENES ($105). But Sunday Riley, the brand which makes this cult phenomenon is also cultivating a lot of buzz for bad business practices. I'm not one for supporting a company that fakes reviews. Maybe those fake reviews created the buzz to make GOOD GENES phenomenon; maybe they didn't. But in truth real people do love the product. Because lactic acid is an effective ingredient. Lactic acid, is lactic acid though. There are plenty of other brands that carry a good lactic acid product. For a one to one, meaning basically the same product/function, I actually prefer Tata Harper RESURFACING SERUM ($88). GOOD GENES is good but in my experience RESURFACING SERUM from Tata Harper is better and more effective. I recently discovered Thrive OVERNIGHT SENSATION Brightening Sleep Mask ($62) which combines glycolic and lactic acid and that is working well for me right now.
