Givenchy - Phenomen'Eyes Mascara


OK. This stuff is pretty damn exciting. It truly makes the most of what you've got. Blot some of the excess off because it's pretty goopy out of the tube. I then blink my lashes SLOWLY onto the brush for the best effect. Keep in mind however that this is NOT a waterproof mascara. It will run and with the shape of my eye I find it best to use a different waterproof mascara for my lower lashes. It's worth it though. My boyfriend was once watching me apply the stuff and he told me I have porn star lashes. Trust me, this girl does not have natural porn star lashes. You can find it for about $29.

Absolutely the best mascara for splaying those hard to get lashes. Inner and outer lashes, as well as lower ones, will no longer be tough to tame with Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes!

As far as other favorite mascara, DiorShow rocks my lashes pretty well. It doesn't look too natural but doesn't look gobbed on either. I love it.

So recently I dealt with a difficult loss. I was in pretty bad shape and after a week or so found myself looking at a truly messed up stranger in the mirror. Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence; Essence-Like, Oil-Like

My dearest husband surprised me for my birthday last year by going to a beauty store in Korea Town, Los Angeles to buy me skin care. He says he finally figured it out. Skincare for me is like records and CDs are to him. I feel seen. Thanks to the advice of some clearly knowledgeable sales clerks in Korea Town, he got me some truly delightful products. But for me to blog about a product I have to be madly in love. For the record I am currently out of my Huxley Oil Essence and it is frankly affecting my self esteem. This is not an exaggeration. To Good Genes or not to Good Genes. That is the Question.

There is a lot of buzz out there for the cult favorite GOOD GENES ($105). But Sunday Riley, the brand which makes this cult phenomenon is also cultivating a lot of buzz for bad business practices. I'm not one for supporting a company that fakes reviews. Maybe those fake reviews created the buzz to make GOOD GENES phenomenon; maybe they didn't. But in truth real people do love the product. Because lactic acid is an effective ingredient. Lactic acid, is lactic acid though. There are plenty of other brands that carry a good lactic acid product. For a one to one, meaning basically the same product/function, I actually prefer Tata Harper RESURFACING SERUM ($88). GOOD GENES is good but in my experience RESURFACING SERUM from Tata Harper is better and more effective. I recently discovered Thrive OVERNIGHT SENSATION Brightening Sleep Mask ($62) which combines glycolic and lactic acid and that is working well for me right now.
