Skechers - Shape Ups

When something sounds too good to be true, don’t buy it! Odds are you’re throwing your money away. When I heard about sneakers that ‘work you out’ as you wear them, I was pretty convinced it was a racket. $250 for cellulite fighting sneakers is highway robbery. Wow, they really know how to prey on vulnerable women don’t they. I mean, we ladies just want to be pretty right? Pretty, pretty?

Of course I was interested. I read a lot of very favorable reviews over the years but could never give myself permission to buy those crazy shoes. Plus, they’re ugly right?

Long story short, Skechers came out with their version. It’s cuter and cheaper and well, really, how could I resist? I figured if I’m going to do this I’m going to do this. So I splurged and got myself a pair of reasonably cute navy Skechers Shape Ups for the weekend as well as an ugly black pair of Skechers Shape Ups for work. I’m not vain at work. My office is fairly casual and no one is trying to impress anyone. Trust me.

Let’s be frank. When you wear Skechers Shape Ups you’re not sliding under the radar. Everyone notices them. The ladies are curious about whether they work and the men, well, don’t wear them if you’re trying to attract a man. It pretty much screams “I don’t like my ass.” One guy looked down and said “Are you working out right now?” I said “well, yes, I guess I am.” “Good for you!” was his generous reply. Thankfully this was a married co-worker with whom I’d rather poke my eyes out than receive romantic attention. Let’s just say on work days I keep cuter shoes in the trunk of my car for spontaneous dinner/drink plans. Even so, I am actually pretty shameless about wearing my navy sneakers at casual weekend BBQ/brunch gatherings. My friends don’t care.

I’ll finally cut to the chase. I LOVE these shoes! I’ve been wearing them quite a bit for a couple months now and I can honestly say I have firmer calves, thighs, and butt cheeks. Yes I said butt cheeks. I can’t really say I have even made any extra special effort to go for long walks or anything. I’m just going about my business wearing slightly goofy shoes and my legs are getting firmer.

So if you’re like me and you have certain portions of the day where you really don’t care what other people think, GET THESE SHOES. GET THESE SHOES if you’re like me and hate working out. GET THESE SHOES if you like working out because who doesn’t want to continually improve on the firmness of their legs and booty? Seriously, I just lifted my hands in the air with a shrug.

Cheers!

I am always shocked at myself when I need or am interested in knowing something it materializes somewhere without any effort at all. This is one of those times. Just yesterday I was wondering if those worked. I had read something somewhere before and it really didn't say. You have me convinced! Not sure when but I will buy some!
