Verabella - Ex-foam-iating Cleanser

Image
Verabella, a local Beverly Hills skin care studio, created this solid exfoliating cleanser.  It's gentle enough to use every day for most people.  Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you may want to alternate days.  What makes this so gentle however are the jojoba beads.  While I would never recommend ingesting hydrogenated oils (stay away from that!), these little hydrogenated jojoba beads are perfectly smooth and round, exactly what you want to look for in an exfoliating product.        I cannot stress enough how important regular exfoliation is to your skin.  There is seriously no point in putting expensive creams and masks on your face unless you have removed the dead skin.  The last thing you want to do is pay good money for good products that just sit on top of your face and never get absorbed.  Also, regular exfoliation stimulates the regeneration of your skin cells.  Allow me to stat...

Verabella Moisture Screen - SPF 45

Image
I have never met a sunscreen for the face I could tolerate. They are inevitably thick, sticky and uncomfortable. It feels like my skin can't breathe and I'm convinced it will cause a break out. Of course I know better. Sunscreen is the number one tip for preventing wrinkles and damage to your skin. Everything else you do for your skin doesn't even come close to the effectiveness of sun screen. All the while knowing better, I sheepishly avoid the sun. Not anymore. Verabella Moisture Screen is amazing. It is light and silky and smells gorgeous; cucumber heaven. I will definitely wear this every day without any problem. At $48.50 it is a major splurge. As with all Verabella products however, it is a very large size. They could quite easily cut the size in half and sell it for $24.25. Honestly they would probably sell more if they did. I would encourage you to take advantage of Verabella's package deals available on their site which can get you an approximate 10% discount...

Verabella - Aloe Azulene Moisturizing Gel

Image
Verabella Aloe Azulene Moisturizing Gel is saving my life right now. Sounds dramatic I know but lately my sensitive skin has been in overactive over drive. Created by a local Los Angeles skin care center called Verabella (best facial ever), this gel is supposed to completely replace moisturizer. I’m not ready to trust its moisturizing properties alone yet but as a treatment gel it is amazing. Anyone who has had a sun burn is most likely aware of the healing powers of aloe. Aloe is also anti-bacterial. Azulene is an extract from chamomile known for its calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Ladies take note, inflammation is what causes wrinkles. Japanese green tea is also included in the ingredients and it is supposed to reduce redness and irritation. Let me tell you, I cover up the red skin on my chin and around my nose with concealer every day. Thanks to this gel, I have noticed a significant improvement in the color of my skin these areas! Plus, the aloe and azulene are clearly heal...
