I’m a big fan of going straight to the source. Other Argan Oil products contain several other oils and ingredients. The ingredient in any Moroccan oil that is supposed to be special is the Argan Oil. So I did a little research and found this eco-certified bottle of 100% Argan Oil.
You’ve most likely heard about the benefits of Argan Oil for your hair but it is also really great for your skin. I rub two drops together in my hands and apply it straight to my skin as a serum. It absorbs very quickly and believe it or not, does not clog your pores. In fact, some people claim it is actually very good for acne prone skin. It helps heal and calm your skin and leaves it very soft and hydrated. Argan oil is not a tool for preventing acne but it will calm and heal your skin without causing more breakouts. For those of you with dry skin, I believe you will find Argan Oil to be a godsend.
As for your hair, a little goes a long way. I mix one drop with my leave in conditioner and apply it to my hair from the bottom back to the front. Any more than one drop will make your hair look greasy. Less is more. One drop however makes my hair so shiny and soft.
By the way, people like to joke and make a fuss about how the Argan oil you buy on the streets of Morocco may have passed through the digestive system of a goat. You can be rest assured this is most likely not the case for Argan oil purchased in the US.

To Good Genes or not to Good Genes. That is the Question.

There is a lot of buzz out there for the cult favorite GOOD GENES ($105). But Sunday Riley, the brand which makes this cult phenomenon is also cultivating a lot of buzz for bad business practices. I'm not one for supporting a company that fakes reviews. Maybe those fake reviews created the buzz to make GOOD GENES phenomenon; maybe they didn't. But in truth real people do love the product. Because lactic acid is an effective ingredient. Lactic acid, is lactic acid though. There are plenty of other brands that carry a good lactic acid product. For a one to one, meaning basically the same product/function, I actually prefer Tata Harper RESURFACING SERUM ($88). GOOD GENES is good but in my experience RESURFACING SERUM from Tata Harper is better and more effective. Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara

Never in my life have I been able to wear mascara on my lower lashes. The shape of my eye pretty much ensures a very grave raccoon eye situation. I can't say I experience much angst about this condition. Such is life. I honestly didn't know I cared until I got Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara. So this is one of those Facebook ad stalker situations. I was getting the ad for this mascara constantly until I finally caved and made the purchase. There is a sucker born every minute and when it comes to mascara, I'm a sucker. Of course I had to get past the name. It's forgivable, but the word Causemetics makes me itch and I'm not thrilled about typing it out right now. But this mascara is something.
