Philosophy - The Oxygen Peel
The Oxygen Peel is a product I’ve discovered and fallen in love with several times. It’s a really fantastic exfoliating mask that simply works. This goes beyond using a scrub. It uses enzymes and oxygen foam to really go at that top layer of your skin. Yet, it’s incredibly gentle. I have sensitive skin and it has no problem with this peel.
There are three steps to the mask. First you put some hot water into the little container that comes in the box. Then you twist open a capsule and add the powder into the hot water. Stir it together with the little spatula and in a bit you have a warm gel. Apply the warm gel with your fingertips all over your face, neck, and if you’re feeling flush décolleté. Then you apply the white cream from a separate jar on top of the gel and rub it in. Suddenly the gel and the cream will react to each other a bloom into a shaving cream consistency. Leave that on for about a minute and then take that spatula and scrape off the blooming cream like you’re shaving your face. There is a sharp edge and a smoother edge to the spatula. Depending on how much you want to exfoliate, choose the side that works for you. Again, I have fairly sensitive skin and I use the sharper edge. Once you’ve ‘shaved’ the mask off, rinse your skin off with warm water to remove the excess product. Now, take a good look at your skin and feel how smooth and soft it looks and feels. It’s so great.
If you have the discipline to do this on a regular basis; once a month, bi-weekly, weekly; you will be amazed by your skin. Sometimes life gets in the way and you don’t always think, ‘I know, I’ll do my oxygen mask today.’ But I guarantee you it is worth it. Every time I use this mask I ask myself, ‘why don’t I do this every week?’
Don’t let it get away from you though. Those capsules do not have an endless shelf life and you may find you’ve let it go bad. I promise you, it’s worth the effort.
