Scrub Your Troubles Away
Oh my. I've been eye-ing electric facial cleansing brushes for a while now. There is a lot of buzz surrounding a $130 to $200 version. I cannot express how tempted I've been. I mean it's fairly obvious that beauty products are my crack right? However, spending well over $100 on a tool that may or may not work? Well, let's just say I've managed to resist the temptation.
Then I discovered this Olay version of the same thing for $30. Who could resist?
All I can say is, oh my. I've only used it once and I am hopelessly in love. My skin is positively glowing. I've used manual face brushes before but this electric version is basically the equivalent of an electric toothbrush versus a manual tooth brush. Bottom line, you just get cleaner.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Applying expensive products to dead, clogged skin is like applying them to the outside of an unpeeled onion. The most amazing ingredients that work won't penetrate and won't make any difference. It's like throwing money down the drain. It all starts with clean skin.
Yesterday I treated myself to a facial by cleaning my skin using Purity Made Simple (http://www.beautyproductswork.com/profiles/blogs/philosophy-purity-...) with this electric facial brush, then applied a PTR unwrinkle peel pad for 2 minutes (http://www.beautyproductswork.com/profiles/blogs/peter-thomas-roth-...), and then rinsed and cleansed again with the PROx cleansing brush and Purity. Holy canole! I felt so damned good about my skin, when my plans fell through for the evening, I went to dinner by myself. The manager and waiter at the restaurant both visibly reacted when they saw my face. They were all smiles and treated me like a queen. Because, hello, my skin is glowing!
OK, maybe they visibly reacted because I was all smiles myself. I felt really good about myself and that's a beautiful thing.
